Lung Problem: Pneumonia

Pneumonia - a respiratory and lung problem in which there is inflammation of the lung, caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Lung problems like pneumonia have the following symptoms:

• Chest and breathing pain during deep breaths
• Coughing mucus(sometimes green, yellow, or even bloody mucus)
• Fever
• Shortness of breath
• Sharp or stabbing chest pain
• Headaches
• Heavy sweating
• Loss of appetite
• Fatigue and disorientation
• Shaking chills

Pneumonia can pose risk of serious long=term health and lung problems and some patients are treated in a hospital, receiving fluids and antibiotics, and other treatments.

Lung problems like pneumonia can often be treated at home with antibiotics, especially patients with mild lung problems like mild pneumonia. Home treatements are

• Drinking plenty of fluids
• Rest
• Controling fever with aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
